Most Favored Nation Clause (“MFN”)

Most Favored Nation clause (MFN) refers to the legal requirement of a country providing a trade concession to another trading partner to treat others equally. In venture capital funding, this principle is adopted to refer to the right to receive terms as favorable as offered to any other subsequent investor, following the original investor's investment and prior to a next preferred equity round.
