What is the RSU Equity Plan Agreement?

The Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) Equity Plan Agreement is the main agreement governing the equity compensation plan offered by the company to their employees, independent contractors, advisors and community contributors.

It covers all the aspects of the equity plan from the grant and vesting of the restricted stock units (RSUs) to its payment and settlement. The RSU Equity Plan Agreement also lays down the terms and conditions of the equity plan such as when a worker would become qualified or disqualified for the equity award.

It is important for the RSU Equity Plan Agreement to be fully compliant with the laws of the company’s country of registration and business operations (e.g., SEC regulations for US-based companies).
